The largest of all Chars is the "Mackinaw Trout" better known as "Lake Trout" . Once almost eliminated from the Great Lakes due to over fishing & the sea Lampreys, now flourish in  the Great Lakes. They are known as gluttonous feeders & live in deep water.

Average weight: 4-8 lbs 

Average Size: 18 to 24 inches
